Glasgow Celtic Reveal Their 2018/19 Third Kit by New Balance
Here at UK Soccer Shop we love a rivalry. Yesterday we brought you Galatasaray’s away kit and explained the Istanbul passion. Today we want to show you the third kit of Celtic. Half of one of the fiercest footballing rivalries in existence.
Celtic and Rangers have always hated one another. The roots lie mainly in religion and you don’t need us to explain why. Brendan Rogers has just steered his team to their seventh consecutive title win and he’ll be rather chuffed. However, Rangers have Steven Gerrard at the helm who seems both incredibly passionate about the club and also determined to buy up everything that isn’t nailed down in the transfer window. (Within budget, of course).
Having just played their first game, Rangers took a point from Aberdeen and Celtic spilled the guts of Livingston in a 3-1 victory. There’s a long way to go but it promises to be a heated campaign.
We’ve shown you Celtic’s 2018/19 home kit and their away one too. Here’s their third kit. What do you think?
The colouring for the kit is fluorescent green. It’s a little similar to Norwich City’s third kit, however Celtic’s is contrasted with black.
The black creeps in with a horizontal zig-zag pattern across the front and develops into a fully-filled section at the top. The black features once again on the half and half sleeves. Furthermore, the neckline is tapered with black.
Designed by New Balance, the kit top is constructed using their NB DRY technology. This ensures breathability and allows moisture to be moved away from the skin. When chasing their eighth consecutive SPL title, Celtic will certainly be kept cool under the pressure.
In terms of fans’ opinion of the kit, it seems to be like Marmite. One that fans either love or hate. There is very little in between.
