Celtic Release Their 2018/19 Away Kit by New Balance

‘Only the bold.’ That’s the name of the campaign that launched Celtic’s home kit. Having now released their away kit, it’s clear to see that this club means business. I mean, they always meant business when it came to football but this latest away kit from New Balance simply solidifies this. The kit top encapsulates the club’s Irish roots, with a Celtic cross on the chest and a simple white and green colour scheme. As an audience, Celtic fans were largely positive about the latest kit, agreeing with the bold, uncluttered approach.

The club finished their 2017/18 season with their seventh consecutive league title. Currently, Brendan Rogers will surely be laying on a sun lounger, with a pina colada in one hand and a social media in the other. He’ll be reading the gracious comments from fans who want him to stay and keep being the titans of Scottish football. While clubs in the SPL like Hearts, Hibernian, and Rangers are trying to return to previous few years’ form, Rogers will know that he has done incredible work.

As mentioned, the main body of the jersey is white with green half-and-half sleeves.  The tapering on the bottom of the sleeves is incredibly stylish – two subtle, white stripes. They simply add to the character of the kit top.

On the chest of the top is a re-imagined logo. One that is simple but effective. A Celtic cross with a single star in the centre. While fans will be used to the modern logo, they will surely be more than happy with what has been used here.

The collar really does finish the look off. It is a folded over, buttoned collar. One with a green line running right through the middle. When acknowledging the club’s heritage, this collar-type was the correct choice.

It’s a fantastic look and we at UK Soccer Shop really look forward to seeing it play next season. Many commemorative kits focus on the club’s past achievements. Celtic don’t need to because right now is some of the most success they’ve ever experienced.
