Galatasaray Reveal Their 2018/19 Away Kit by Nike
Go anywhere in Turkey and talk to the locals. You might not have too much in common but one thing is for sure, football rivalry is huge. Just drop into your conversation either the name Galatasaray or Fenerbache and prepare for some heated discussion. Unless they aren’t interested in football. In which case they’ll just give you a confused stare. The two teams are fierce rivals. Much like the rivalry between Celtic and Rangers, or the two Manchesters, these two teams seem to hate eachother without a passion, and without a modern, proper reason. Other than that one team is bad and the other is good. (The teams are from two different neighbourhoods in the same city, so that’s probably where the hatred began).
Last season it was Galatasaray that came out on top, finishing first with their Istanbul rivals in a close second place. At the end of their season, we showed you Galatasaray’s 2018/19 home kit. Now, almost three months later, we want to show off their away kit. It seems to share the same stylish genetic make-up, together with simple design decisions.
Let’s take a look.
The jersey itself is black. Across the kit top, horizontally, area number of physical lines which give the kit depth and character.
The neckline is a simple one, with yellow and burgundy acting as the collar and meeting at the nape of the kit.
The black sleeves appear to have burgundy and yellow tapering, however this appears a few centimetres up from the bottom.
Due to the blank, black canvas, the club’s crest, Nike’s iconic Swoosh, and Galatasaray’s main sponsor appear uncluttered.
Next season Fenerbache will seriously hope they can catch their rivals. Furthermore, Galatasaray will hope to retain their title and show Istanbul who’s boss. We at UK Soccer Shop quite like this kit. What do you think?
