With a New Manager, and a New Third Kit. Are They a New Arsenal?
To look at the Premier League table right now might be confusing for some spectators. Manchester United are struggling to stay ahead of Watford, and Arsenal are flying high. They’re sat two points behind Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City. Right now, the Premier League title could be anyone’s. While we’ve shown you plenty of top division kits from around the world, we want to bring you a third kit that we believe to be excellent. While a third kit is often the least likely to be seen, it gives designers to think outside the box. Whether Puma has done that here is another question. Let’s take a look.
Arsenal’s third kit is mint green. This colouring contrasts perfectly with dark black. Featuring on top of this mint green canvas are the club’s crest, their main sponsor, and Puma’s logo. Furthermore, two thick black stripes run across each sleeve. The two black stripes ensure that the kit appears complete.
On the chest of Arsenal’s third kit is a subtle ‘W’ pattern. The pattern is stitched into the kit with breathable fabric. This evoKNIT breathable technology is an important aspect and is seen again across each of the sleeves. As well as its breathability, the fabric ensures excellent maneuverability.
The neckline on the kit is one with a collar. This is perhaps used to reflect Arsenal’s extensive, illustrious past. The collar is fastened with three buttons at the front.
A number of fans have noticed that the kit is reminiscent of the 1982/3 away kit. While this jersey does possess some similarities, such as the contrasted black material, the overall colour is a much darker green.
Who knows, in eight months we might be looking at an Arsenal title win.
