Hearts Reveal Their 2018/19 Claret Home Kit by Umbro

An Excellent Home Kit. Designed by Umbro for Hearts.

Here at UK Soccer Shop we’re used to trademark design ideas. Whether it’s Nike’s 2018/19 physical linear pattern or the three stripes that run along an Adidas kit’s shoulder blades. There is one design idea that has stood out to us since we first saw it. That design is the bordering at the bottom of the kit’s sleeves from Umbro. Their logos interlock along the sleeve line giving the kit a completed look and reminding viewers that it was designed by Umbro. This design feature has been used once again. On this occasion for Heart of Midlothian, or Hearts for short.

Hearts are at the top of the Scottish Premier League. That’s right. While Celtic are down in sixth, Heart of Midlothian’s closest competition is their own rivals Hibernian or Glasgow Rangers. While we’re in the early stages of the 2018/19 season, Craig Levin will hope that his side can remain in poll position throughout the months ahead.

A few months back we looked at the club’s away kit. It was silver and white, simple, but stunning. Running along the bottom of the sleeves was the aforementioned Umbro pattern and we thought it was a positive jersey. However, on that kit, the Umbro sleeve design didn’t quite stand out as much as it should have. Here’s Heart of Midlothian’s home kit where the trademarked pattern certainly stands out.

The jersey is claret coloured. No surprises there. On top of this home-coloured canvas sits the club’s crest, their main sponsor: Save the Children, and Umbro’s logo. The simple neckline is bordered with two thin white lines. White being the secondary colour that appears on the jersey. This white-claret contrast can be seen once again on the Umbro trademarked pattern. It’s a brilliant, complete kit that we at UK Soccer Shop love.
