Hearts Reveal Their Silver 2018/19 Away Kit by Umbro

Today we showed you Aberdeen’s away kit. Here’s the Hearts’ away kit.

Edinburgh is famous for so many things. The Fringe Festival, the castle, the tattoo, and the fierce rivalry between Hibernian and Hearts. While this season the Hibbees got the better of their burgundy-clad adversaries, next season will be fought even harder. The SPL is now a fiercely fought competition where it could be anyone’s title next season. Although Celtic have had an incredible run, Aberdeen’s close second might spur the club on to a first place finish next season. Hearts finished their 2017/18 season in sixth place, behind Kilmarnock. With the recent signing of Australian midfielder Oliver Bozanic, they’ll be hoping to seriously compete next season.

But what will they be wearing? Well, they, like Aberdeen have ditched colour on their away kit. Instead opting for a more-subdued white. The kit features Umbro’s 2018 trademark design and quite simplistic features.

We love it, but what do you think?

When we see that a white kit has been released, this particular author thinks back to the New York Cosmos’ kit. It seemed both a little empty, and also too cluttered. This was simply down to the colours and placement of certain elements. Hearts have made the right choice in keeping colour to a minimum. This allows only the club’s crest and Save The Children’s logo to stand out. This is a lovely design idea. It implies that only the club and charity is important. Maybe it doesn’t say that, but her, everything’s subjective.

The sleeves are tapered with Umbro’s logo linked together. We’ve seen it with so many kits this year and it does work quite nicely.

Around the neckline, a dynamic, metallic grey is seen, tapering the back and coming together at the front.

The nape features a well-designed club crest with the words, “follow the hearts,” within.
