We love third kits. They’re often the unsung, unseen heroes who appear only in training or certain matches. It often enables designers to introduce adventurous design elements that they might not have considered otherwise.
Real Madrid is in second place on the same points as Barcelona. While this is an excellent start to their season, especially without Christiano Ronaldo, Florentino Perez will want to see his team at the very top.
To spark some energy into the Bernabeu Stadium, the club has teamed up with Adidas to create three excellent kits. Now we have shown you all of them.
The home kit was stunning, the away one was simple, and Real Madrid’s third kit is excellent. Let’s take a look.
The colouring of the third jersey is metallic red. This shiny nature is caused by a pattern of dark and light red circles that run around the entire kit.
Furthermore, the light shading on the body of the jersey is contrasted perfectly with the dark band of red that borders the simple neckline. There’s no awkward collar to get in the way of the players’ abilities.
Appearing on top of the metallic red blank canvas are the club’s crest, Real Madrid’s main sponsor, and Adidas’ iconic logo. Each element appears uncluttered and is appropriately coloured.
We at UK Soccer Shop love it when a kit designer utilises the nape of a jersey. Here, Adidas have put the letters ‘RMCF.’ Real Madrid’s third kit is finished with red shorts and the same colour shorts.
Overall Real Madrid’s third kit is excellent. It is both simple, eye-catching, and very unique. We at UK Soccer Shop really like it. What do you think?
