Here at UK Soccer Shop, we love bringing you the very best of football kits. Now that the season has kicked off, we wanted to bring you some fantastic third kits. If you were to ask this author his favourite third kit, he would say Ipswich Town’s 2016/17 one. It was almost identical to Barcelona’s home kit and that really takes some guts. Ipswich Town, dressed at Barcelona. Twenty minutes ago we showed you Parma’s 2018/19 third kit, it combined the excellent pattern of their home kit with the bold colouring of their away one. We loved it. Now it’s time for one of the toughest clubs in the UK – Millwall.
Represented by a Lion on their crest and playing at the Den, this club doesn’t mess around, nor mince their words. They’re bold, brave, and their third kit completely represents that attitude.
Right now the club are fighting it out in the Championship after a scrappy road to get there. After losing to Sheffield Wednesday yesterday, the club are currently sat in 14th place. It will be hoped by kit designers Macron that this kit can push them up the table. If a kit has ever had any effect on the league table.
The colouring is bright orange. It allows the club’s crest, Macron’s logo, and the club’s main sponsor to stand out effectively. Both the simple neckline and sleeves are tapered with this dark blue colouring which contrasts nicely with the bright first colour.
Furthermore, the bottom of the jersey is tapered with a dark blue line and the shorts are bright orange. This line allows the jersey and shorts to be separate from one another.
We would love to see Millwall in the Premier League. Their fans will really liven up a lot of stadiums in England’s top division.
