Tottenham Hotspur Reveal Their 2018/19 Third Kit by Nike

Today we’re celebrating third kits everywhere. So far, we’ve been North to Hull, South to Portsmouth, and now we’re heading a little further East. To a city named London. You might have heard of it. Furthermore, you might have also heard of Tottenham Hotspur, a team competing at the highest heights of both English and European football.

Over the past few days we’ve shown you Tottenham’s home kit, their away kit, and now their third one. The club beat Newcastle in their first Premier League game and next take on Fulhum. This third kit is unlikely to feature but we want to show it to you anyway.

The kit is turquoise and navy. Both are excellent colours and combine here to create a messy, yet also quite angular kit design. Running horizontally across the centre of the chest is a straight line. This line is forged from the contrast between navy and turquoise. On each side of the line features a splash pattern in the opposite colour.

We at UK Soccer Shop aren’t quite sure what we think. On the one hand, we haven’t seen this pattern on any other kits, however it also feels a little out of place and even a bit thoughtless.

So far the kit has received mixed reviews. Those that have expressed an interest have either really liked the kit or not been particularly keen on the overall design. The shorts are turquoise and the socks that complete the kit are half and half.

It is interesting to note that the back of the jersey doesn’t feature this splashed pattern. Furthermore, on the nape of the kit is a white, vertical stripe which highlights the breathable technology incorporated in the design.

Tottenham Hotspur will hope to secure a title victory. Their fans have been chomping at the bit over the past few years and with the current managerial turbulence at the top, there hasn’t been a better time to capitalise.
