Once the top Scotland club, financial trouble send Rangers to the bottom of the league system in in 2012. Three years later is striving to regain their spot in the Scottish Premiership, after two promotions without complications. The second tier, named Scottish Championship, proved to be a difficult challenge for Rangers and, at the time of writing, is qualifying to the play-offs.
Hoping to wear it in the Premiership, Rangers presented their home kit for the season 2015-16. Next year the team will continue to have Puma as the manufacturer, which designed a shirt predominantly blue with white stripes in the sleeves, from the shoulder to the cuffs. To respect the traditional combination of blue, white and red, that other color will be featured in details as the collar and under the sleeves.
Regarding the shorts, this will be white with blue stripes to the sides and a bit of red in the inside legs. The socks will be black with red on the top, continuing the tradition begun in 1904 to reflect the Burgh of Govan, former home to the Rangers F.C. and neighboring district to the present location.
