Portland Hearts of Pine have agreed to partner with Danish sporting manufacturer Hummel for the 2025 season. The club plans to play their first-ever season in the 2025 USL League One.
Hummel has had a huge influence in the American game, manufacturing jerseys for USL clubs such as Forward Madison, Las Vegas Lights and Birmingham Legion.
Gabe Hoffman-Johnson, a former soccer player at Dartmouth College and a standout at nearby Falmouth High School, was announced as the club founder, with the ownership group including local real-estate developers Jonathan and Catherine Culley and NESN broadcaster Tom Caron, a native of Lewiston, Maine. The club is yet to announce their head coach for their inaugural campaign.
In September, the team announced that a League One-record 96% of its season ticket deposits had been purchased. The club’s jerseys will be released in the upcoming months.
