Nike will re release the iconic 1998 Brazil Jersey this upcoming month.
The American sporting giants have decided to reproduce the famous shirt with star player and football legend Ronaldo Nazario’s name and number on the back.
Ronaldo helped Brazil reach the final of the 1998 FIFA World Cup, scoring four goals in seven games during the tournament. The striker famously fell ill the night before the final, which hosts France ended up winning 3-0 thanks to an iconic performance from Zinedine Zidane.
Nonetheless, the Brazil 98′ jersey is a favourite amongst football shirt collectors who will be eager to get their hands on the reissue of the jersey.
The shirt is set to be released in April. With the rise in popularity of jersey collecting in recent years, we may begin to see more re-releases of iconic shirts in the future.
