Manchester United, soon to complete the record breaking signing of Paul Pogba from Juventus, have revealed their final 2016/17 kit.
Widely leaked previously, there was still time for a surprise or two, as well as using new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the promotional materials.
There’s still a lot of work for United to do in pre-season with their tour of China a disaster from a footballing point of view. One match postponed and a 1 – 4 defeat to Borussia Dortmund leaves them with some catching up to do in the USA next week.
MANCHESTER UNITED 2016/17 THIRD KIT
This is the third kit Manchester United will wear during the coming 2016/17 season.
The shirt is a nod to United’s away kit for the 2015/16 season. White, it features a fading honeycomb pattern across each shoulder.
The black trim is reserved for a curved V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs. Adidas’ trademark Three Stripes run down the side of shirt body from the underarm to hem.
With black the secondary shirt colour, Adidas pulled a rabbit out of the hat by issuing grey shorts with the kit.
On the side of each leg, three white stripes meet with their black counterparts on the shirts.
The socks are white with a grey band on the turnover and grey devil on the front of the shin.
The kit will be worn in the Europa League as an away kit although United’s primary alternate strip of blue will be used occasionally in the competition.
