Manchester United and Adidas have come together once again to release their highly anticipated Stone Roses collection. It was rumoured since last year that this collaboration was in the works and much to the fans’ delight the collection has finally been launched.
Adidas’ Design Director, Inigo Turner, spoke about his excitement for the special collection, stating: “The Stone Roses’ music is the soundtrack for fans who remember the famous class of ’92. This collection celebrates the beautiful fusion of football and musical culture that both the team and the band represented.”
James Holroyd, Chief Commercial Development Officer at Manchester United also spoke about the deep connection between the Stone Roses and the clubs culture: “This collection recognises our joint histories in a way that connects with both older fans and the new generation of supporters.”
Manchester United and Adidas have also released a special video promoting the products which included the likes of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Gary Neville speaking about the club.
The collection will make its debut on Sunday 11 February during the Red Devil’s away fixture against Aston Villa in the Premier League as the Red Devils look to push for a UEFA Champions League spot.
