Over The Pitch, a South Korean creative house, has teamed up with the iconic Irish stout brand Guinness to launch an exquisite line of football jerseys that blend style and tradition.
These specially crafted jerseys feature a striking gold pinstripe design, complete with classic polo collars and cuffs, embodying the essence of both fashion and sport. The unmistakable Guinness “Harp” logo proudly displays as the badge on each jersey, while the number 59, a homage to the brand’s establishment in 1759, is on the back of the strip, a subtle yet significant nod to Guinness’s heritage.
Guinness’s association with football runs deep, with the stout brand having sponsored front-of-shirt deals for clubs like Cork City and Queen’s Park Rangers during the 1980s and 1990s, producing some of the most coveted jerseys in football memorabilia circles.
Delving further into its footballing roots, Guinness even founded its own club, St James Gate, in 1902, which competed across various divisions of Irish football. Sadly, the club eventually disbanded in 2022 due to funding issues.
The collaboration between Over the Pitch and Guinness represents the continuous collaboration between fashion and sport, highlighting the growing trend of fashion design companies and brands partnering to create unique and captivating football-inspired apparel.
