Brentford FC’s Concept Kits are Doing the Rounds. Let’s Take a Look
Brentford FC might not be the biggest club in the world. To us, that doesn’t matter. At UK Soccer Shop, we simply love new kit designs. Furthermore, we are enjoying this time of concept kit releases. It’s almost like placing bets on what the kit will be for next season. It’s exciting, even if they rarely materialise. Today, we turned our attention towards Arsenal’s concept kits. They were bright, simple and reflective of the club’s past. Arsenal played against Arsenal at the end of September, so we believe that’s a relevant link. Let’s take a look at Brentford FC’s concept kits.
The home jersey is red and white. Running across the shoulders are Adidas’ iconic stripes, and the sleeves are bordered with black. Furthermore, the simple neckline is also bordered with black and white.
Turning our attention to Brentford FC’s away concept kit, the designer has ditched the chocolate bar colouring that we’ve seen in 2018/19. Instead, the kit features bright yellow and black stripes. The stripes run vertically and, once again, we see Adidas’ iconic stripes across the shoulders. The away kit colouring acts as the perfect blank canvas for the red and white badge. This badge stands out and doesn’t clash with the rest of the kit.
Finally, the third kit certainly pushes the envelope. Not in the same way that Zamora CF’s kit did yesterday, but just enough. The jersey is white, and running horizontally across the chest are a number of mint green lines. Both the club’s crest and Adidas’ iconic logo are also green. Furthermore, the bottom of each sleeve is bordered with white.
We think these three kits are excellent. The home and away kits compliment each other positively, and the third kit does something different, without being too extravagant.
