Hibernian Reveal Their 2018/19 Third Kit by Macron
Hibernian’s Eye-Catching Green Kit is Unmissable. Perhaps Simply Because of the Colour.
Looking at the Scottish Premier League you might think it looks relatively normal. Until you look at the top two spaces and realise that Celtic doesn’t appear in either of them. In fact, your eyes would have to go as far as sixth place to find them. That’s right, Brendan Rodgers’ side has had a tough start to their 2018/19 campaign and while they’ve won seven consecutive titles previously, they’re struggling to properly stay afloat. One team that you’d expect to see in the top five is Hibernian FC. Edinburgh’s green team. They’re currently sat in third place, behind Glasgow Rangers and also Hibs’ rivals: Hearts.
To boost them further up the table and perhaps to even give them a chance at the title victory, the club has teamed up with Macron to create an excellent kit which combines both design excellence and the practicality of breathable technology.
The kit colour is luminous yellow/green. It’s a tricky colour to interpret, even as a non-colour blind viewer, but according to the press release, Hibernian’s third jersey is fluo yellow. This main colouring is contrasted with a thick black stripe that runs across each of the shoulders and behind the neckline.
Sitting on top of the fluo yellow jersey is the club’s deep green crest, Macron’s logo, as well as the logo of Marathon Bet – the club’s main sponsor.
Overall, Hibernian’s third jersey is a simple, eye-catching one. It leaves out much of the creative flourish that can sometimes over complicate the kit. Furthermore, the kit has been received positively by fans. Macron’s cutting-edge, breathable technology allows the players to perform at their best, both during training and on the pitch.
