Yet Another Exciting Australian Football Kit. Adelaide United’s Away Jersey.
Cast your minds back to yesterday. If you can’t just click here. There you’ll find a link to Adelaide United’s 2018/19 home kit. We at UK Soccer Shop are enjoying the build up to this year’s A-League. Mainly because the Central Coast Mariners have Usain Bolt in their ranks and he’s been declared by the coach as, ‘unfit.’ So far we’ve brought you plenty of A-League kits. Some were excellent, others just missed the mark. The latest away kit from Adelaide is bright and eye catching, however it is a little bit cluttered.
Let’s take a look
The kit itself is white. Running across the chest are two thick stripes – one red, another black. Within these stripes are the club’s badge, the logo of the league, and Macron’s name. Underneath the stripes is the club’s main sponsor. On each sleeve is another sponsor – Mcdonalds and Hyundai. Our only bug bear with the kit is that it almost looks like a racecar. We understand that money in the A-League is necessary to not only compete but fully function as a club. We just wish it didn’t affect the design quite so much.
Like the home kit, Adelaide United’s away kit combines Macron’s considerate design (ignoring the cluttered sponsors), with practicality. Breathable material is utilised to ensure that even at the most pressurised times, players are kept as cool as possible.
The kit has so far been positively received by fans. There are few who think the kit to be excellent but most think it’s a good design.
Adelaide’s first game of the competitive season starts with Sydney FC. It’s a tough fixture but Marco Kurz will hope that his team can come away with a win and get their 2018/19 campaign off to a positive start.
