New Football Kits

Adelaide United Reveal Their 2018/19 Home Kit by Macron

Adelaide United’s Latest Home Kit Combines Both Practicality and Eye-Catching Quality.

Here at UK Soccer Shop, we love the A-League. We were about to write that we love Australian football but we don’t fully understand the rules. We’re pretty sure outfield players can pick it up. Madness. Eitherway, the A-League is pretty easy to follow, it’s also very competitive. Last season, Sydney FC won the league with Adelaide trailing in fifth place position. As the 2018/19 season prepares to kick off on the other side of the world to us, we want to bring you some of the best Australian football kits. Adelaide’s is certainly one of them.

So far, we’ve shown you Sydney FC’s and Central Coast Mariners’ away kits, as well as Melbourne City’s home kit. Now let’s take a peek at Adelaide’s home kit.

Adelaide United’s kit is red, bright, eye-catchingly red. It’s the perfect blank canvas for the A-League’s logo, the club’s crest, their main sponsor, and Macron’s name. Running around the simple neckline is a charcoal contrast to the bright red jersey. This colouring can also be seen halfway around the bottom of each sleeve.

Here at UK Soccer Shop, as well as loving the A-League, we love when kit designers utilise the nape of the jersey to add character. Here we see that design decision. The nape features a bird perched on a green and red perch above the year, “2003.” This reflects the club’s short heritage, as well as the city’s crest. Furthermore, along the back of the neckline a yellow strip runs along the top. As a result, all colours featured in the A-League’s logo are represented on the kit.

While the kit is both eye-catching and tastefully presented, it is also highly practical. The design incorporates Macron’s breathable technology to ensure that players are kept cool under even the most intense pressure.
