Another Simple, Classy Kit from Joma and Bulgaria.
Yesterday under cloudy, Autumnal skies, we brought you Bulgaria’s latest home kit. As well as exploring the different design aspects, we also talked about Bulgaria as a country and its declining population. Its football team are currently ranked 47th in the world and the country has a long way to go if it wants to properly compete with the top dogs. That being said, its latest home kit was simple and effective. Furthermore, the country’s coat of arms dominates the front of the kit. We loved Bulgaria’s home kit. But now it’s time to look at the away one.
Bulgaria’s away jersey is red. The design is that of a polo top. The promotional photos don’t involve full kit and players looking cold. Instead, the kit top is combined with tracksuit bottoms. This suggests a more casual appearance, however Joma’s breathable technology allows a full competitive quality.
The neckline features a polo-necked collar which is bordered by green, white and red stripes. These stripes give the kit character and allow for a more complete look. The collar is fastened at the front by two buttons.
Instead of being positioned in the centre, the country’s coat of arms is located on the left-hand side (as you wear it) of the jersey. This allows for both the crest and Joma’s logo to stand out effectively.
Each sleeve is tapered with the same green, white, and red stripes that we saw running around the edge of the collar. It is done only half way around each sleeve. On the nape of the jersey is the cross-stitch-style pattern that we also saw on Bulgaria’s home kit. Finally, Joma’s logo appears once again on the top of each sleeve. This allows fans to see who designed this simple, effective kit more easily.
