Armenia’s Latest Kit is Bright and Colourful. What Do You Think?
Here at UK Soccer Shop, what we love is bright, beautiful kits. Those that make us put down our early-morning cup of coffee, interrupt our conversations about weekend plans and say, “damn, that’s a real nice kit.” That has happened a few times over the past few months, including Senegal’s World Cup kit, Nigeria’s jersey, and now, Armenia’s latest home kit. They’re currently ranked 100th. But still, small teams can still do great things. Just look at Wales in the 2016 Euros. Furthermore, look at Iceland at that tournament. Armenia’s home kit combines the bright, bold colouring of the international coat of arms, to create a simple, effective kit. Let’s dive in.
The jersey is bright red. It’s positively eye-catching. The neckline is one similar to a polo top and is coloured blue with yellow tapering around the bottom.
On the chest we see Armenia’s crest in gorgeous gold. Furthermore, surrounding the coloured crest is a more subtle version of the crest. The surrounding feature can be seen when it catches a certain light.
The sleeves feature a design element that we’ve seen a few times from Macron this year. They’re half tapered with yellow and blue. This gives the kit necessary character. Furthermore, it adds an enhanced sense of completeness. This tapering features again on the bottom of the shorts. Finally, on the nape of the kit sits the Armenian national flag. We always enjoy it when a kit designer opts to utilise the nape and we’re glad Macron has done so.
So far, the released kit has been positively received by fans who see it as a bright, colourful, simple design that represents the country positively. Furthermore, we hope to see Armenia compete at high level international tournaments. UEFA’s Nations’ League is a great stepping stone towards that.
