If you’ve read any previous articles on UK Soccer Shop, you’ll know that the author is an Ipswich Town fan. He’s a Tractor Boy through and through, despite being born in Norwich. You might also know that this author loved Norwich City’s home kit. Despite being a Canary jersey, it has a sharp pattern across the shoulders and a complimentary sponsor across the chest. The neckline and tapering was green and the rest of the kit was a simple, gorgeous yellow. Don’t just take our word for it. See the kit here.
As the summer starts to wind down (we’re aware that for teachers it’s just about to begin), the season gets ready to start once again. Norwich City had a taste of the Premier League in 2015, and a spell slightly longer than that before. However, after the turmoil of four managers in three years, the club will hope to have a steady ship with which to attach the promotion places.
To help them climb that slippery league table, Norwich City have teamed up with Errea to craft an away kit. While not quite on the design level of their home kit, this away one is expertly crafted and contains a dynamic pattern that we quite like.
The kit itself is white. The neckline is simple and features green tapering. No button in sight. This tapering can also be seen on the bottom of the sleeves and Leo Vegas features once again on the front of the kit top.
The pattern on the away jersey is a sort of sash. A yellow and green stripe running diagonally. Furthermore, inside the thick stripes is a sort of bar graph-style pattern. This pattern gives a nice depth to the kit. By putting the green badge inside the yellow stripe, it is clear that Errea have put a lot of thought into it.
