Birmingham City Reveal Their 2018/19 Away Kit by Adidas

Birmingham. With a population of over one million, it is thought of as the UK’s second city. Within this metropolitan hub of business, there are two football teams that take rivalry very serious. The two teams are Aston Villa and Birmingham City. Both will be competing in the Championship next season after Aston Villa were runners up in the 2017/2018 play-offs and Birmingham City finished in 19th place. As the manager of City, Garry Monk will be hoping to show their rivals who the boss is and give their fans something to shout about.

A few weeks ago we showed you Birmingham City’s home kit. Its blue and white colouring was simple with a few design flourishes that made it excellent.

Now, Adidas have released the club’s away kit. Bursting with bright, bold, colour, the jersey is yellow. That’s right, bright yellow. Across the shoulders, up to the neckline are Adidas’ iconic three stripes in blue. The blue appears in the club’s crest, sponsor, and Adidas’ logo.

The sleeves have a small tapering around the bottom, in blue. This completes the kit and means that the blue appears as a balanced design choice, rather than an over powering, muddled decision.

The neckline is simple and modern. No high collar features and the kit is finished with blue shorts and yellow socks.

Birmingham City’s latest away kit is bright. Any kit that uses yellow as its primary colour is going to be. It is very simple and we at UK Soccer Shop love that.

It’s clear that the club are looking to sign a new goalkeeper. Garry Monk revealed that he had his sights set on Ipswich Town’s Bartosz Bialkowski, however latest news suggests the Polish international is close to signing a new contract with the Tractor Boys.

Birmingham City are desperate to have a more positive 2018/19 campaign than their last two seasons. A new goalkeeper, together with their two new Adidas kits, could really solidify those plans.
