Coventry City Reveal Their 2018/19 Away Kit
Remember when we showed you Coventry City’s home kit? It was on the 4th July. Back when England were still in the World Cup and you couldn’t turn on a radio station, visit social media, or go to any bar without hearing the words, “it’s coming home”. The only thing that is coming home is the players, disappointed and empty-handed. Now that England are out of twinning contention, we thought it would be a good time to show you Coventry City’s away kit. The home kit was simple and bright, the away kit is no different. Will it be the perfect kit to see the club remain in League One after their dramatic promotion last season? Or will it be worn while trying desperately to escape relegation?
We at UK Soccer Shop like it, but it’s hard not to like a white kit. I mean it’s fine. But it’s no Nigeria home kit.
On the chest of the plain white jersey is a Nike Swoosh, Coventry’s club crest, and the main sponsors: Midrepro – a photocopier supplier in the city.
The neckline is the most interesting aspect of the kit top. It features a semi-classic collar with a single button at the front. The collar is flanked by a black stripe that runs its war around the back of the neckline. This simple feature adds a huge amount of depth and possibly saves the jersey from being too featureless or soulless.
The kit top features dri-fit technology, ensuring that the players are kept cool and breathable during whatever match they might be playing. Whether it will be another promotion chase or a relegation battle. This away kit is certainly stylish to keep the club up and get them competing.
We love the latest away kit from Coventry City, but will it stand up to fans’ scrutiny? What do you think? Love it or hate it?
