If you’re a Fulham fan. You’ll be loving this summer. While England might have crashed out of the World Cup in heartbreaking fashion, you can be safe in the knowledge that your club have been promoted. That’s right, after their four year-long visit to the Championship, the club is back and Craven Cottage will be buzzing. They beat off Aston Villa in the play-offs’ final to secure their place and the club will be hoping to stay up, this time. The transfer window has been buzzing with rumours and speculation. To help boost the fans’ hopes of competing in the top tier of English football, Fulham have teamed up with Adidas to create a home and away kit that are each excellent. The kits are surely worthy of the Premier League and even competing in the top six.
The home kit is white. That’s no shock to any fans. Across the centre of the chest, running horizontally is a large black stripe between two thinner ones. Within this tri-stripe is the club’s main sponsor: Dafabet.
Across the shoulders and up to the neckline we are treated to Adidas’ infamous stripes.
A highlight for me is the use of the nape. The here the heritage of the club is recognised – “Estd 1879”. This is a really nice touch that we at UK Soccer Shop love.
The away kit features a pattern that we’ve seen many times. The colouring is two-tone blue, combining to create a checkerboard pattern.
The Adidas stripes feature in white and Dafabet’s logo is yellow. On Fulham’s away kit, Adidas have left the nape blank. The away kit is finished with blue shorts and blue socks, each featuring Adidas’ trademark style and the club’s crest.
We can’t wait to see how Fulham’s season goes. It’s likely that they’ll stay up, what with the talent pool they’ve got, but will they be able to compete with the big six? Who knows.
