New Football Kits

Rangers Reveal Their 2018/19 Home and Away Kits by Hummel

Glasgow Rangers. One half of arguably the greatest, oldest, most bitter rivalry on the planet. While the club might have one of the highest average-aged sides in the competition, Rangers still managed to finish in third place. Perhaps it was their extensive experience. Still, that was twelve points behind Celtic. Despite the gap, most fans will be eagerly watching Steven Gerrard’s every move. He’s relatively untested in a managerial role but his keen eye for footballing talent seems prevalent in this transfer window. Brendan Rodgers has sent a warning to Steven Gerrard, saying “When you go into management at whatever level, then no matter what you have done or achieved as a player you are entering a different sport.”

To get the club ready for an exciting season of football, Rangers have teamed up with Hummel to create a home and away kit that are both simple, with stylistic features.

The home kit is blue. No shocks there. It has the words “32 RED” across the centre of the chest as well as the club’s crest and Hummel’s logo. The neckline is most interesting to us. It doesn’t feature a built-up collar. Instead opting for shape cut into the jersey. It has a red tapering at the bottom of the neckline. The top also comes together with a small but prominent ‘V’ at the centre.

The sleeves feature a half-tapering in white and red. The tapering is under the arms and allows for a dynamic look.

The away kit is white with a gorgeous blue and red sash-stripe running diagonally across the front. Furthermore, it ditches any notions of a collar or tapering around the neckline. Down the white sleeves are a number of blue arrows.

Do you love or hate these kits? We at UK Soccer Shop Love them and can’t wait for Rangers’s 2018/19 campaign.
