Hull City AFC Reveal Their 2018/19 Home Kit by Umbro

In the past ten years, Hull City have enjoyed their most topsy-turvy time in English football. Reaching the top tier, it could be argued that this is the most success experienced in recent years, however they just can’t settle down. Having just finished in 18th place, it could be worse. Sunderland have achieved back-to-back relegation and have left Newcastle fans smiling with glee.

Hull City fans now look to their 2018/19 season in the hope that it could promise promotion. Having finished behind long-serving Championship team Ipswich Town, The Tigers will have to really turn things around to face the titans of English football once again.

To launch themselves back up to the Premier League Hull City have released their latest 2018/19 home kit. While we at UK Soccer Shop have seen some sub-par kits, we’ve also seen plenty of design excellence. This kit falls into the second category, being both practical, commemorative, and really good looking.

The kit has received a huge amount of praise but what do you think? Is it an improvement on last season’s single stripes?

The 2018/19 kit has been created by Umbro, and much like with Everton and Huddersfield, the designers have opted for their trademark sleeve tapering.

The kit top’s body is orange and the black stripes are doubled, with small spacing between them. This space gives the kit a more dynamic feel and a simple, effective look that fans have responded very well to.

It is clear that to keep the fans content, the club have opted for highlighting their strong, dominating nickname. This nickname can also be seen on the nape of the jersey and the tops of the socks which are also black and orange.

It will be interesting to see if Hull City can bounce back into the Premier League. One thing is certain, they have a positive, well-designed kit which can certainly steady their ship.
