You Need To See Nike’s 2018 World Cup Boots
It’s only one month away. That’s right, you read correctly. It seems like only yesterday England were being taken out of the Euros by Iceland, a team with a population of 335,000 which is less than Bristol and far smaller than Birmingham. Never the less, we move on from Roy Hodgson’s disastrous tournament and look towards Gareth Southgate to give us a World Cup worthy of Sir Bobby Robson. To tantalise us and bring us ever closer to the world’s favourite sporting event, Nike have released the Just Do It, World Cup 2018 collection of football boots.
Available on the 14th May, the boots are a combination of white and metallic grey with a physical pattern across the top and each product fits differently around the ankle to suit any comfort and support requirements. Underneath the shapely boot, depending on the style is one of four colours – blood red for Magista, eye-catching green for the Hypervenom, beautiful blue for Tiempo, and finally Mercurial is the colour of stunning orange.
These boots are beautiful and not only are they comfortable with the required support, they’re also customisable. The player who wears the boots can have the chosen country’s flag, their name and number, as well as the style of boot opted for.
Our particular favourite boot from the collection is the green Hypervenom – it gives full ankle support for those fast paced, sudden turns and the colour is incredibly eye-catching. The boots look great with the Brazilian or Portuguese flag, would they look quite as good with the St. George’s Cross? We’re a little unsure
Whatever the World Cup in Russia has in store: whether England crash out in the group stages or go on to win it all (perhaps we dream to big) you can be sure that these boots will be making several appearances, demonstrating striking style and comfortable technology.
