Written in the stars: Argentina kit updated after World Cup triumph
In official news this week, the Argentina national team have had their shirt and crest officially updated, as Adidas edited the stars above the country’s iconic badge. Where before, the already settled two had been somewhat hastily added to, this new collection shows off a new design.
The first glimpse at Argentina’s 2024 Adidas collection reflected the updated three stars, with the central star bigger than the ones on either side in a nod to the latest international victory.
While the stars aligned for Argentina in the showpiece final last winter, their triumph has seen the stars change course above the crest – as well as a fresh coat of gold and white as the primary and secondary colours throughout.
The manufacturer’s logo is also completely gold, and the releases of Argentina’s ‘2024 DNA Collection’ (initially this December) continues to celebrate a manufacturer and team partnership that intermittently dates back to 1974.
Argentina’s crest with the new stars was debuted in that aforementioned December 2023 collection, yet the first team shirt is set for release in March 2024.
