Vitesse Arnhem, 9th in last season’s Eriedivisie, missing out narrowly on the European places play-offs held in the Netherlands. They narrowly lost a recent friendly 1 – 2 to West Bromwich Albion, in a run of four consecutive pre-season defeats. New coach, Andy Myers, is on loan from Chelsea and perhaps that can make a difference.
It was always going to be a tough summer for the Gelderland club but the supporters – reserved the squad number 12 – will be full of hope. That is, after all, the very essence of the pre-season.
VITESSE ARNHEM 2016/17 HOME KIT
This is the home kit Vitesse Arnhem will wear next season.
Black and yellow stripes are evenly spaced around the shirt with the back having a full yellow panel for hosting player names and numbers. In a twist, kit designer Macron has edged the black stripes with white piping.
The round neck collar is black leading into a yellow shoulder panel. The sleeve cuffs are black with a yellow splash for Macron’s logo.
The shorts are white with yellow and black trim and the kit is finished with white socks that feature a yellow hoop with black edging, on the shin.
VITESSE ARNHEM 2016/17 AWAY KIT
The Vitesse away kit for next season is all-black.
The shirt features minimal trim on the clean pattern. The raised collar features a yellow inner whilst the sleeves have a thin yellow band on the cuff. As with the home shirt, the motif “Est. 1892” – the club celebrates its 125th anniversary this season – is printed on the back, under the collar line.
The shorts and socks, seen in the friendly against the Baggies, are both black with yellow trim.
