Uruguay set to Sign Adidas Deal?
Uruguay are rumoured to join German sports manufacturing giants Adidas in a major deal. According to Mantos do Futebol, the Uruguayan national team is set to enter a new partnership with Adidas.
Since going separate ways with former manufacturer Puma at the end of 2023, Uruguay have been making in-house jerseys for their recent international fixtures. Despite the success of the in-house strips, Uruguay simply could not turn down the opportunity to work with Adidas. The South American nation previously used Adidas as jersey manufacturers between 1974 to 1984 as well as 1999.
Adidas will be desperate to impress as they recently lost their longest running partnership with the German national team. Nothing has been confirmed yet so no designs have yet been released so we will see if Adidas decide to take inspiration from some of their previous Uruguayan designs.
Uruguay will be hopeful they can win the Copa America this summer. Their group consists of Bolivia, Panama and the United States of America.
