With the new season almost upon us, Toronto FC released their 2017 home kit on Friday.
Pre-season finished on a low note for the Canadian club, losing 1 – 4 to Chicago Fire in St Petersburg, Florida. Last season’s losing MLS Cup finalists were hoping for better things.
President Bill Manning claimed that Toronto were better than winners, Seattle, while told listening reporters at his President’s Breakfast, “From August on, we were the best team in Major League Soccer.”
Fine words which leave the squad with a lot to live up to.
Toronto FC 2017 MLS Home Kit
This is the home kit Toronto will wear during the 2017 MLS Season
Manufactured by Adidas, the shirt features tonal red hoops across the front of an otherwise clean design. The sleeves and collar are both charcoal, joined by a thick shoulder panel.
Down the side of the shirt from the underarm to the hem, are thick charcoal panels, featuring a mesh design to allow better air circulation.
There is little change to the home kit used for the past two seasons. With good reason; it’s a great design and popular with fans.
On the back below the collar line, the slogan, “All For One”, is printed, underlining the commitment of the supporters and players.
It’s a simple kit and one which will find favour among supporters. They’ll remember it even more fondly if the MLS Cup goes north of the border this season…
