Portsmouth Incredible 2023-2024 Kit Shortage Solved In Time For Christmas

Portsmouth are historically a successful side in England, however, the club has fallen upon hard times in recent years. Financial problems, points dockages and administrative issues have had the club languishing amongst the lowest tiers of the football pyramid, one bad decision away from completely imploding. Nevertheless, a slow resurgence in recent years has saved the club, and the Men‘s first team currently sit first in League One. (Third Division) Whilst fantastic news, the good form has seen an interesting turn of events for the club‘s management and sponsorship teams. After tying up a deal with Nike in 2018, the club had to place backlogged orders on kit numbers for each season, a factor, that meant the club ran out of kits just in time for Christmas.

In an extraordinary turn of events, the 9000 shirts sold during the entirety of last season, has already been surpassed by approximately 5000 at the midway point of the 2023/2024 season. Popularity and support, although positive in nature, has proven an issue as a result, with many clamouring for Portsmouth kits in time for Christmas. Thankfully, sources within the club have confirmed an agreement with Nike, from which 2000 more home shirts have been promised in time for Christmas. Fortunately a solution could be found, and what could have been a serious bump in Portsmouth‘s season, has become another feather in the cap of Portsmouth management, atop an already incredible season.
