Portland Timbers have had their brand new 2024 third kit leaked online. Thanks to @opaleak, we can see the first exclusive images of the MLS club’s latest strip.
Portland Timbers 2024 Third Kit Details
Manufactured by German manufacturing giants Adidas, the Portland Timbers 2024 third kit is predominantly maroon. Green, yellow and white applications are also included on the collar and sleeve cuffs of the strip. The jersey also includes a gold Adidas logo. The standout piece of the jersey is that the Tillamook sponsor has been replaced by the ‘Timber’ word mark. as was the case with the 1980s kit.
The 2023 campaign was a disappointing season for the Timbers. Finishing 10th in the league meant the club missed out on a spot in the MLS play-offs. The team are now under the management of former Manchester United defender Phil Neville. Portland Timbers are now currently sat 5th in the Western Conference of the MLS league table. Fans are hopeful that the team can have a successful campaign.
The club has a rich history dating back to 1975 when the original Timbers team was founded and played in the North American Soccer League. After the NASL folded, the Timbers continued playing at the lower professional and amateur levels. In 2001, the Timbers joined the United Soccer Leagues and became one of the most successful clubs in the division, winning two USL First Division championships in 2004 and 2009. In 2011, the Timbers were awarded an expansion franchise in Major League Soccer. Since joining MLS, the Timbers have won an MLS Cup championship in 2015 and established themselves as one of the league’s most passionate and dedicated fan bases in the country.
