Oxford United finished their League One season with a 2 – 0 victory over Shrewsbury Town at the Kassam Stadium. It was a bittersweet moment; the U’s finished eighth, four points off the last play-off place but they were cheered by local rivals Swindon Town relegation.
It’s been a good season for Michael Appleton and his squad. Promoted for League Two as runners-up in 2015/16, the U’s were never far from the play-offs. It bodes well for next season when they can aim for the Championship.
Oxford United 2017-18 Home Kit
This is the 2017-18 Oxford United home kit:
The club’s traditional colours of yellow and navy return with a simple design. Manufactured by Starter, the kit features minimal trim. The yellow shirt body features navy blue panels on either shoulder and on the sides. Shirt cuffs are also navy.
There’s an admirable consistency in the flow of navy. Starter avoided a multicolour disaster by keeping accents in blue, for both themselves, club and sponsors.
Blue shorts with yellow bands around the thigh continue the simple theme. A yellow manufacturer logo sits on the left thigh, opposite the club crest.
Yellow socks finish the kit off, featuring a significant blue turnover and thinner blue band across the shin.
