Nike Reveal Palmeiras’ 2018/19 Away Kit
Here we’d like to introduce you to a design which you may well have seen before. Located against the beautiful background of Brazil is the football team Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras. While they are famed for being one of the most successful clubs in Brazil, the team currently sit in the eighth position Brasileirao. There have only been three matches played by the team so no reason to think doom and gloom and with that thought in mind here it is:
The kit features the same pattern template as Ajax’s away kit, featuring a colour across the shoulders and collar, as well as a horizontal stripe underneath. The designer and club crest sit at the top of the chest – the club’s crest with a commemorative star above – and the main sponsor: Crefisa is large and central, slightly underneath.
The sleeves are plain white, sharing the body colour which retains the clean, simple look and down the side of the body features the secondary colour in stripe form.
While we have certainly seen worse away kits in the past week or so, does the kit top have enough personality and character?
The Brazilian team will be hoping to climb the table rapidly and use this away kit on the road to beat their rivals: The Corinthians. Whatever their success will be this season, their away kit will be making a bold, simplistic splash on the Brazilian football scene.
