Newcastle United’s 2024/25 Away Shirt: A Stunning 90s Throwback

Newcastle United’s 2024/25 Away shirt is rumoured to pay tribute to the clubs iconic 1995/96 shirt. A fan favourite jersey, the blue and garnet coloured strip is set to make a return to Tyneside thanks to Adidas.

Thanks to @FtblJoe on Twitter, a concept jersey has been released, showing what the shirt would look like next season. It’s safe to say it is a beauty.

Newcastle and Adidas announced their partnership in September, with the German manufacturer replacing Castore from the 2024/25 season onwards. In September, Nick Craggs, the Global Football General Manager of Adidas, spoke of his excitement that Newcastle where amongst the brands ranks once more: “We are excited to announce that Adidas and Newcastle United Football Club have once again joined forces in a new partnership that aims to drive excitement both on and off the pitch. This collaboration brings together two iconic names known for their history, innovation, and commitment to excellence within football.

“As Newcastle United Football Club embarks on a new chapter for the men’s and women’s team, Adidas is honoured to provide them cutting-edge sportswear technology. Our previous partnership delivered some of the most iconic kits of the 90s and we look forward to creating many more unforgettable moments, inspiring fans and players alike.”

It is expected that Adidas will deliver an abundance of 90’s inspired training gear and jerseys to Newcastle fans, much to the Geordie’s excitement.
