In a landmark announcement that was revealed in the “We Are Newcastle United” documentary, Newcastle United F.C. and Adidas have revealed a groundbreaking multi-year partnership set to commence from June 2024. This collaboration marks a significant reunion, with Adidas returning as the official kit partner for the club after a previous successful association spanning from the “Entertainers” era of the 90s until 2010.

Adidas will be the official supplier of Newcastle United’s official kits, training gear, and other sports-related apparel, ensuring the team is equipped with the latest sportswear technology to elevate their performance with enhanced comfort and agility on the field. This partnership is not just a contractual agreement; it’s a reunion with deep-rooted history, as they witnessed together memorable moments in the UEFA Champions League too.

More specifically, during the past, this partnership contributed significantly to the club’s success from 1995 to 2010. Notably, the brand’s emblematic stripes decorated the jerseys during the legendary 3-2 victory over FC Barcelona in 1997, featuring a memorable Faustino Asprilla hat-trick. This rich history extends to every season under the leadership of the late Sir Bobby Robson.

Furthermore, the announcement of this deal comes at an exciting time for Newcastle FC, as the men’s squad competed in the Group Stage of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in two decades. In addition to this, the club’s Women’s team also established themselves as professionals, following a trophy win in the previous season.

Summing up, Adidas’ General Manager, Nick Craggs, expressed his excitement about reuniting with Newcastle United, speaking about their shared history while the CEO of Newcastle, Darren Eales also stated, “This collaboration brings together two iconic names known for their history, innovation, and commitment to excellence within football.”
