For those who thought Barclays and the Premier League had parted ways for good after the English Premier League decided not to renew their long-standing relationship as chief sponsors will be surprised to hear they have now signed a new three-yer-deal.
Barclays will become the “official bank” of the Premier League from 2017 till 2019 season.
The English Premier League have signed a new three-year sponsorship deal with Barclays.

This change boils down to the Premier Leagues new category sponsoring, and Barclays joins the likes of EA Sports and Football Shirt makers Nike, who are technology and ball sponsors respectively.
No details of how much money is involved in the new deal have been released yet.
Barclays and the Premier League look to continue their excellent relationship which has seen the league grow to the global brand it has become.
With no big name title sponsor, it allows many other brands to take advantage of Premier League success although that’s not to say if a big offer came on the table that the Premier League wouldn’t look at it.
