NEW! Ipswich Town Kit For 2016/17
With the Championship season over, Ipswich Town have released their 2016-17 kits ready for the next campaign. Unusually for the English clubs, The Tractor Boys have opted for the chevron design on their home kit, similar to the approach taken by Anderlecht.
Home Kit
The club’s crest sits proudly on the left breast, traversing the three blue gradients of the chevron and underneath the three white stars representing the club’s three major honours: the 1961/62 league champions, 1978 FA Cup and 1980/81 UEFA Cup.
Introduced eighty years ago for the 1936/37 season, Ipswich have reintroduced the white sleeves which were dropped as integral part of the kit in 1964. Sporadic appearances since have not dimmed the classy look they bring to the kit.
The clean blue reverse of the shirt gives a strong, traditional feel to next season’s kit.
Away Kit
For next season, The Blues will be wearing all-white. Down the years, they have experimented with a number of colour schemes but this returns to the late-70s when they wore a similar design for away games.
The top has a blue colour with Adidas’ three white stripes leading from their down the outside of the arms to blue and white halved cuffs.
With the blue logo of sponsor, Marcus Evans, providing the only break in the white jersey, Ipswich will be hoping to emulate the smooth design in their on-the-pitch performances as they seek to gain a place in the Premier League at the end of the season.
