Genoa Cricket and Football Club proudly reveals its 130th-anniversary third kit, manufactured by Kappa, paying homage to the club’s rich history and tradition. Genoa CFC, founded in 1893, holds the distinction of being Italy’s oldest football club. The 130th-anniversary kit has as a logo of the iconic Griffon while the kit features a special emblem – distinct from their usual logo – further emphasising the remarkable journey over the last almost one and a half century.
Additionally, Genoa C.F.C. unveils the “130” text positioned beneath the iconic Griffon. The Kappa Genoa CFCs 23-24 third jersey, also boasts a red and navy-blue collar, with a button offering enhanced comfort, while similar contrasting red and blue accents and the significant date “1893” decorate the sleeves. To further honour the anniversary of the club’s foundation, the inscription “FROM THE BEGINNING, FOREVER 130° ” graces the back of the neck.
Genoa, currently competing in Serie A, has secured nine Italian Championships, one Coppa Italia, and six Serie B titles. As they aim to maintain their Serie A status, the upcoming jerseys are expected to be donned by key players such as Mateo Retegui, Albert Gudmundsson, and Ruslan Malinovskyi. Having clinched promotion from Serie B last year, Genoa currently holds the 14th spot on the table with 16 points from 16 matches and they are looking to establish themselves in Italy’s top football tier.
