Malaga have released a special jersey to commemorate the club’s 120th anniversary. In collaboration with Danish jersey manufacturers Hummel, Malaga’s latest shirt release will be a favourite amongst football jersey collectors around the globe.
The Spanish club have paid homage to their 1988/89 jersey with a modern twist on an old school shirt. Blue and white vertical stripes are the predominant colours of the jersey. An old school collar is complemented by Hummel’s classic arrow style sleeves. Malaga have also brought back the 1988/89 sponsor Tivoli Costa Del Sol to compliment the jersey.
Hummel are continuing to show their brilliant skills when it comes to releasing unique jerseys for the clubs they are in partnership with.
Malaga were formerly a La Liga and UEFA Champions League level club which had players such as Isco, Santi Cazorla and Ruud van Nistlerooy amongst their ranks. Despite this financial issues began to arise which saw the club face relegation to the Segunda División in 2018. A further relegation to the Spanish third tier followed in 2023.
