Liverpool and LeBron James Drop New Collaboration
Liverpool have joined forces with LeBron James to drop a special brand new collaboration. James, the legendary basketball star, owns a minority stake in the Reds.
Last year the first drop between the sports icon the Premier League club was released and after a great success, a second was always on the cards. This year’s collection includes a basketball style Liverpool jersey, a uniquely designed football shirt as well as a range of training gear such as sweatshirts and bench coats.
Speaking about the collection, the Reds defender and captain Virgil van Dijk said: “It’s great to have worked together alongside LeBron to launch this collaboration. I’m excited for everyone to see what we’ve created.”
Liverpool Women’s vice-captain Taylor Hinds also expressed her delight at the new drop. “It’s another great collaboration between LFC and LBJ, a fantastic mix of basketball and football fits.”
Liverpool and LeBron James are a great example of how football is continuing to grow globally, even involving stars from other sports. Similar to Jordan’s historic collaboration with French giants PSG, it will be interesting to see if LeBron and Liverpool push their merges even further in the future.
