Ipswich Town ended their Championship campaign on a low-note with a 0 – 3 reverse at Nottingham Forest.
It’s a time for the Tractor Boys to look ahead to next season while keeping hold of key players. The club has also taken the opportunity to reveal their home shirt for next season’s players, including the goalkeepers.
Ipswich Town 2017-18 Home Shirt
The Tractor Boys home shirt for next season will once again, be the traditional royal blue:
Made by Adidas, it’s reminiscent of the designs worn by the likes of Wark, Gates, Muhren and Thijssen in the 1980s.
The shirt has been updated though. Across the front, tonal blue horizontal bars traverse the body while Adidas’ Three Stripes travel from underarm to hem.
Meanwhile, the back of the shirt is plain blue.
Matching white collar and cuffs complete the design. It’s expected that the kit will be finished with white shorts and blue socks.
Local press polls suggest that while the shirt is quite popular, it is nowhere near as well-liked as this season’s design.
The home goalkeeper shirt was also unveiled. A light blue base colour is accompanied by dark navy trim. Adidas Three Stripes form a shoulder panel from the v-neck collar.
In keeping with modern goalkeeper kit fashion, the shorts will be light blue as will the socks.
