Greenland Agree Kit Partnership with Hummel

Greenland have agreed a brand new kit partnership with Hummel. The national team, who are yet to be officially recognised by FIFA, had previously been with Macron since 2021.

Hummel will aim to use the beautiful landscape of Greenland as inspiration for their jerseys, which are set to be launched by the end of the year.

Lars Stentebjerg, hummel’s CEO, has spoken positively about the new partnership. “At hummel, we have always had a passion for supporting unique sports teams—and the Football Association of Greenland is a perfect example of a partnership with true character. Greenland is an important part of our Danish Realm, but it also stands as a strong and independent culture that we wish to celebrate and cultivate through our partnership,”

“With 80 percent of the country covered by ice caps and glaciers, Greenland represents something truly unique that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Despite the challenging conditions for football in Greenland, the national football team remains a vital source of national unity and pride among the country’s inhabitants. We aim to incorporate this into our branding and product design to help tell the story of Greenlandic culture.”This partnership aligns with Greenland’s dream of joining Concacaf, which would enable the team to compete in FIFA tournaments. Despite the geographical and climatic challenges, Greenlandic football serves as a source of national pride and unity.”

Greenland are hopeful of being accepted into CONCACAF in the coming years, allowing them to officially partake in World Cup qualifiers.

In other news, Portland Heart of Pine have launched their inaugural kit.
