France and Nike Extend Contract Until 2034
France and American sporting giants Nike have extended their contract for a further eight years until 2034. The current contract between the two time World Cup winners and Nike was set to run out in 2026 before the new deal was signed and announced.
This news comes after recent reports that France had launched a new kit tender. Adidas and Puma were among those rumoured to be interested in becoming the new manufacturer for the French national team.
France joined forces with Nike in 2011, meaning their relationship will exceed over 20 years by the end of the latest deal. Nike released the following statement following the deal’s announcement: “In fifteen years of partnership between Nike and the FFF, we are proud of what we have achieved together. We look forward to continuing our partnership to serve as a catalyst for growth and investment in amateur football in France, accelerating the growth of women’s football at all levels, and further amplifying the FFF as an international icon of performance and style.
