2. Bundesliga outfit, Eintracht Braunschweig, have released their 2016/17 kits. Finishing in eighth place last season, they are hoping to kick on and challenge for the promotion places, returning to the Bundesliga after an absence of 4 seasons.
Eintracht Braunschweig 2016/17 Home Kit
This is the home kit which Eintracht Braunschweig will wear for their 2016/17 season in 2.Bundesliga.
Celebrating the club’s only Bundesliga title in 1966/67 season, the traditional colour scheme of yellow and blue has been simplified by Nike. It gives a nod toward the kit worn in that season fifty years ago, with a plain yellow shirt body.
The trim is royal blue. The collar, a rounded v-shape, meets with a solid blue stripe which runs across each shoulder to the similarly coloured sleeve cuff.
Nike’s Swoosh sits on the right breast in blue whilst the logo of primary sponsor, Seat Cars, features on the chest.
In recognition of their achievements half a century ago, the club has commissioned an update to their crest.
Eintracht Braunschweig 2016/17 Away Kit
This is the away kit Eintracht Braunschweig will wear during the 2016/17 season.
The shirts are predominantly dark blue. The reverse and upper body of the front are solid blocks of this colour with the lower two-thirds of the shirt body on the front giving way to dark blue stripes on a lighter blue background.
It’s a standard template from Nike but catching in an unfussy way.
The home kit though, is great for its simplicity. Recognising the massive achievement of becoming German champions is a reminder of the football club’s great past. Hopefully, it can spur them on to promotion back to the top flight.
