Crystal Palace Reveal Their 2018/19 Third Kit by Puma

Crystal Palace’s Bright, Bold, Simple Third Kit

The club is currently competing in its sixth consecutive season in English football’s highest division. Crystal Palace are sat in 12th place. This isn’t too bad of a position to be in and they’ve picked up six points from five games. If the season continues this smoothly, they’ll be looking at a seventh consecutive season in the Premier League. However, some fans will want this season to be similar to Leicester City’s 2016 title win. Roy Hodgson will probably just want this to be a season of steady results. Nothing too exciting.

To accompany Crystal Palace on their 2018/19 campaign to mid-table finishing, they’ve teamed up with Puma to create their third kit. So far this season we’ve seen their home jersey with the iconic red and blue vertical stripes. We’ve also taken a look at the club’s away kit that was white with a blue and red sash running diagonally across the front.

Time to take a look at the bright, bold, eye-catching third kit.

Crystal Palace’s third kit is bright yellow. Running straight up the centre of the jersey are two stripes – red and blue. These stripes fade in and run underneath the name of the club’s main sponsor.

The neckline is a simple one with a blue line at the front and the same colouring running across the shoulders and down to the bottom of the sleeves. Blue then also runs around the bottom of each sleeve.

So far, the kit has been received positively by fans. While it won’t be seen very often, Crystal Palace’s yellow kits are thought to be lucky. A yellow kit was worn in the 2004 play-off final against West Ham, which gave the club promotion. Furthermore, it was also worn in the same circumstances against Brighton & Hove Albion in 2013.
