Recent results have seen Brazilian giants Corinthians fall to fifth place in Serie A. The gap to the top though, is just seven points with thirteen games to play.
The club recently signed a new sponsorship deal with Spanish brewery, Estella Galiciam whose logos adorn the shirts of Deportivo La Coruna and Celta Vigo.
Nike has released Corinthians third kit, with a familiar template.
Corinthians 2016/17 Third Kit
This is the 2016/17 third kit to be worn by Corinthians:
After the horror show of the Inter Milan third kit, Nike has some kind of redemption with this design.
The upper of the shirt is dark navy with blue vertical stripes across the front and back which get gradually get thicker as they go lower down the shirt.
On the reverse of the collar is the motif, “CORINGÃO” – the club’s nickname.
The shorts are the lighter blue shade, as are the socks. Logos on the kit are white whilst the socks also feature “CORINGÃO” across the shin, underneath a white Nike Swoosh.
All of which just goes to prove that the template doesn’t always have to be garish or awful. It’s a great shirt, proof that with the right colourway, Nike can get it spot on with the third kits.
