Cardiff City completed their 2016/17 releases with the new away kit to be worn next season. All – red, the Bluebirds will most likely debut this in their friendly at Shrewsbury Town on 16th July 2016 at The Greenhous Meadow.
Cardiff City 2016/17 Away Kit
This is the away kit Cardiff City will wear during the 2016/17 season.
The shirt is another clean design, this time with white trim. Adidas used their Teamwear template and placed the Three Stripes on the side of the body of the shirt, giving a fresh and pure look to the rest of the shirt at first glance. The collar is all red but the shirt sleeve cuffs are dual-banded. The top horizontal band is white, sitting above a similarly thin black band.
Main shirt sponsor, Malaysian Tourist Board, features the same slogan here as the home shirt: “visit Malaysia” in white font on the chest. Above on the right breast is Adidas logo of Three Stripes in a pyramid shape. The club crest, devised in 2015, sits opposite on the left breast.
The shorts will be red as well, with the Three Stripes meeting those on the shirt at the waistband. The kit is completed with red socks.
A simple but effective design for the Bluebirds to use on their travels. Hopefully, they will be more successful than last season when they were defeated ten times away from the Cardiff City stadium.
